Get Hands-On Postnatal Support Right in Your Home
Daily home-based support, so you can thrive in the early postnatal days
🍼 Confident Feeding
We support you with feeding — whether breast, bottle, or both. We show you positioning, help you recognise hunger cues, and support you in understanding how feeding is going day to day.
💤 Space for Rest & Healing
You rest. We take care of the rest — light tidying, laundry, hydration, and keeping things moving — so your body has space to settle and heal.
📈 Observation & Guidance
We help you notice feeding patterns, nappies, and day-to-day growth (non-medical) — offering calm, non-medical guidance so you can step away from endless Googling and feel more confident in what you’re seeing.
🍜 Less Stress, More Ease
You don’t need to “host” us. We step in gently, support where needed, and quietly take care of practical things — no judgement, no expectations.
👨👩👦👦 Support for the Whole Family
Whether it’s a partner, grandparents, or an older child, we help everyone find their place. You’re not just adjusting — you’re becoming a family.
🤱 A Steady Daily Presence
You’ll have a skilled, kind professional by your side each day. No need to plan or explain — we arrive prepared and know how to support the flow of the day.
🫶 Support, Without the Coordination
No researching, scheduling, or managing. We bring structure, continuity, and a proactive approach — practical support that simply shows up.

Why Not Just Do It Yourself?
The first days at home are full of small adjustments. Questions don’t always arrive on schedule, and it can take time to find a rhythm that feels right for your family.
Having someone present each day brings continuity and practical support from the start — not to take over, but to help you settle in. Someone who’s already there, familiar with your home and your routines, and able to support you as things unfold.
It’s not about whether you can do it alone. It’s about how supported, rested, and steady you feel while you’re doing it. Many families manage without extra support — but that doesn’t mean they have to do everything on their own.
Here’s what the difference can look like.
| With Us | On Your Own | |
|---|---|---|
| 🕒 Daily presence | Same professional for 8 consecutive days | No scheduled support |
| 🤱 Feeding support | Practical guidance with breast, bottle, or pumping | Searching online or waiting for appointments |
| 🛁 Light household help | Laundry, tidying, keeping things moving | Trying to keep up while sleep-deprived |
| 📈 Day-to-day reflections | Feeding, nappies, noticing growth (non-medical) | No one there to help you make sense of it |
| 🧘♀️ Space for rest and healing | Encouraged daily with practical support | Harder to prioritise when it’s all on you |
| 👩👧 Support around older siblings | Gentle, practical help for the whole family | Balancing everyone’s needs alone |

What Parents Are Saying
From One Mother to Another
After having my first child in London, I realised how demanding those first days can be. I came to believe that this was simply what motherhood was meant to be — that it was meant to be hard.
When I had my second baby in the Netherlands, I experienced something very different. Through a Dutch system called kraamzorg, a calm, experienced professional came into my home each day during the first postnatal week. Not to take over, but to support the household, help me find my rhythm, and make space for rest and settling in as a family.
The difference was profound.
That experience made something clear to me. This kind of structure and continuity should not depend on where you give birth. Families in the UK deserve it too.

You May Be Wondering...
What if I have a C-section
Yes — many families find daily postnatal support particularly helpful after a caesarean birth. The early days can involve moving more slowly and adjusting to new rhythms. Having consistent, home-based support can make it easier to rest, settle in, and navigate everyday moments without having to manage everything alone.
How is this different from routine checks?
Routine postnatal checks are periodic and clinical. MotherWise offers something different: daily, home-based postnatal support focused on continuity, presence, and practical help in the flow of everyday life.
We’re not there to assess or evaluate. We’re there to support you as you find your footing at home, day by day.
Many families find that this kind of steady presence makes the gaps between routine appointments feel less heavy — but the roles are distinct.
What if the person supporting us can’t come?
You won’t be left without support. MotherWise works with a small, trusted circle of postnatal professionals. If someone is unexpectedly unavailable, we coordinate cover so continuity is maintained as smoothly as possible.
Reliability is part of the structure we hold.
I had a difficult first experience — can this help?
Many families come to MotherWise after a challenging first postnatal experience. What they’re often looking for is not answers or fixes, but steadiness, continuity, and support that feels attuned rather than rushed. That’s the space we aim to create.
Trust & Clarity
MotherWise provides non-clinical postnatal support focused on continuity, practical help, and parental confidence in the early days after birth.
The service does not offer medical care, medical assessment, monitoring, diagnosis, or interpretation for mothers or babies. Families remain fully under NHS midwifery and health visiting care at all times.
Any day-to-day reflections shared are non-clinical and remain parent-held. Any medical concerns are raised by families directly with their statutory healthcare providers. MotherWise may support families in coordinating appointments or signposting services, but does not assume responsibility for clinical decision-making or medical follow-up.
In case of urgent or emergency concerns, families should contact NHS services or emergency services immediately.
